Theon Design - Theon Design 911 Price: from £380,000

Last Updated On: 21/03/2024

Theon Design, a UK-based design company that specialises in the restoration and modification of heritage 911s, has revealed its third creation. Dubbed HK002 and starting life as a 964 this Theon Design 911 has undergone a complete overhaul.

Its donor 964 chassis is stripped down to the bare steel and rebuilt with a selection of updates inspired from various 911 models from different  years. The nose is based on an early long-nose 911, but the wider arches front and rear instead find their inspiration in later G-series models. While the body itself is digitally scanned and rebuilt in CAD, the bespoke metalwork is actually constructed of beaten aluminium while the bumpers and rear wing are constructed from carbon fibre

While the body is slightly larger, it’s lightweight construction gives the Theon 911 a 'wet'  weight of only 1248kg  much less than a standard 964.

Theon offers customers a choice of three ultra-responsive, high-performance naturally aspirated engine configurations: a 285bhp 3.6-litre, 370bhp 3.8-litre or 400bhp 4.0-litre. There is also the opportunity for forced induction through supercharging or turbocharging.

For each Theon Design commission, every detail of the interior is design-led, devised in close collaboration with the owner. Theon uses the highest quality materials to elevate and enhance the cabin, taking design cues from early 911s. The ultimate feel of each painstakingly assembled cabin is one of carefully honed luxury – marrying the finest leathers with light-weight carbon fibre components, combined with tactile aluminium switch-gear and restyled instruments, reminiscent of the dials on early 911s. The interior of each entirely bespoke Theon Design commission delivers the charm with of a classic Porsche, allied with modern quality, comfort and convenience.
